A welcome will be provided to AWITA members at 4pm on Wednesday 17, June 2026 by VOLTA’s Artistic Director and Marketing, VIP Manager and AWITA Member, Emily Bunn in the Lounge area of the fair.
VOLTA art fair enters a third decade of discovery, celebrating its 21st edition. The fair has long been a springboard for emerging talent, platforming artists at a key moment in their careers and being an incubator for ideas that shape the future of contemporary art. Located just a two-minute walk from Art Basel and the central Messeplatz, VOLTA 2026 is set to showcase 69 galleries from across the globe.
Curatorial features include Everywhen: Contemporary Aboriginal Art, exploring the Indigenous concept of time explores the Indigenous concept of time as a continuum in which the past, present and future coexist simultaneously.
Aboriginal Australians hold a history extending back more than 65,000 years. The Pavilion will connect visitors to VOLTA with these ancient histories, ancestral mythologies, cultural traditions, and the vibrant contemporary art practices being created today.
A new section, Frische! will highlight bold and innovative approaches from emerging galleries, and those with distinctive curatorial methods. A dynamic and energetic group of 8 galleries, this section showcases fresh voices anad experimental practices at the forefront of the contemporary art market.
For the first time, VOLTA presents The 5,000 Edit: A curated series of artworks that spotlight standout works available for under CHF 5,000 - offering collectors and newcomers alike an entry point into collecting at the fair.
