Salon Series: Infrastructures of Voice

What does it take, today, for women’s voices to be heard, both within and beyond the existing art world? And is the question ultimately one of being heard, or of building stronger forms of connectivity and collegiality?
Taking the Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA) publication series On Words as both a point of departure and working model, this Salon brings together artist Latifa Echakhch and guest speakers to open a conversation around the past and present infrastructures that hold and circulate women’s work. Together, we will explore how to build networks that don't just replicate the competitive hierarchies of the traditional cultural sector. More than just a discussion, this Salon is designed as an active space for practical exchange and collective thinking.
A New Fair: Paraíso

AWITA members will be among the first to discover Paraíso, London's new fair dedicated to Latin American art bringing leading contemporary artists into dialogue with Modern and Postmodern masters from across the region.
Members will attend on VIP day for an insider introduction led by AWITA Member Jane Soliman, who co-runs Amalgama Art & Academy with Daniela Galan, for a first look at the galleries, artists and ideas behind one of the newest additions to Frieze Week.
