The Light Gallery at Photo London

Art Fair | 13th May | Photo London

Dedicated to promoting Contemporary Latin American art, The Light Gallery is driven by the belief that Central and South American Art deserves greater global recognition.

The gallery showcases both emerging and established artists whose work reflects innovative perspectives and strong conceptual foundations.

We aim to expand the visibility of Latin American art within the international art world, creating dialogue and cultural exchange through the visual arts.

We would love to have AWITA join the VIP opening on 13 May to celebrate this exciting new chapter!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Photographer Luis Morales (Colombia 1969) explores the boundaries between abstraction and figuration, creating work that challenges how we perceive images and meaning.

Morales often blends elements of both, resulting in pieces that resist easy categorisation. This interplay allows his work to exist in a space where the real and the imagined overlap, encouraging viewers to question what they are seeing.

In doing so, his practice invites a slower, more reflective way of looking, one that embraces uncertainty and finds meaning in the tension between clarity and abstraction.

Morales has exhibited both individually and collectively since 1995.

Among his most notable exhibitions are those held at the Curitiba Biennial VentoSul, Brazil (2006); the Museum of Modern Art (MAMBO), Colombia (2016); Les Rencontres d’Arles, France (2024); and the International Biennial BIAM Antioquia, Medellín (2025) .
