Switzerland is home to one of the world’s most extraordinary art ecosystems. Within this landscape, a new chapter - AWITA Switzerland emerges to fill a vital role: a focused, national platform dedicated to supporting and connecting the women who are central to its continued success.

Building on the vision that established AWITA London as a model, we will bring together cultural professionals across Switzerland’s three linguistic regions transforming geographic diversity into a culture of collaboration and collective strength, grounded in local knowledge, shared practice, and a commitment to long-term impact.

We invest in expertise, strengthen networks, and create the conditions for careers to flourish at every stage.

We are here because the Swiss art world is stronger when its women are connected. Our mission is to send a clear signal to the industry and to the next generation that the future of the art world in Switzerland is being shaped with intention and solidarity, by women.

Salon Series: Infrastructures of Voice

14th November | Geneva

What does it take, today, for women’s voices to be heard, both within and beyond the existing art world? And is the question ultimately one of being heard, or of building stronger forms of connectivity and collegiality?

Taking the Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA) publication series On Words as both a point of departure and working model, this Salon brings together artist Latifa Echakhch and guest speakers to open a conversation around the past and present infrastructures that hold and circulate women’s work. 

What does it mean to truly think and act en réseau? How can stronger connections counter the professional and intellectual isolation so often built into existing structures?

Together, we will explore how to build networks that don't just replicate the competitive hierarchies of the traditional cultural sector. More than just a discussion, this Salon is designed as an active space for practical exchange and collective thinking.

AWITA International X Prix Pictet at Paris Photo

11th November | Paris

2026 marks Pictet’s first year as an Official Partner of Paris Photo and the first dedicated Prix Pictet presentation at the Grand Palais. The booth brings together two Prix Pictet laureates - Valérie Belin, winner of Disorder, and Alfredo Jaar, winner of Storm - placing their work in dialogue around nature, landscape and environmental change.

Sabine Senn, Head of Photography at Pictet Group, will take AWITA members through fair highlights and the booth exhibition, followed by cocktails.
