Family Saturdays: at Fiumano Clase this Saturday 10th May
AWITA Member Francesca Fiumano is running informal Family Saturdays. In this session budding young artists will be encouraged and helped along by the gallery team to make their own artworks inspired by the Nordic art on display.
Family Saturdays are principally aimed at families with children aged between 5-12 years. We are delighted to welcome families with one or two parents. This is however not a drop-off facility, at least one parent must be present at all times.
The current exhibition, Distant Voices, focuses on the work of contemporary Nordic artists and their meditations on nature, its strength and the importance of listening to its 'voices'. There is a strong belief in the magic of nature in the north with its history of trolls, elves and 'the hidden people'.
