What advice would you give to women starting in the art world?
Visit as many exhibitions as humanly possible (taking along your critical eye), work hard (no shortcuts), talk to everyone, find what you love and never stop learning!

Which 3 qualities do you think one must have to succeed?
Depends on how you measure success, however ultimately you can't go wrong with:

  1. Dedication

  2. A solid and collaborative work-ethic

  3. Openness to play with chance and opportunity.

Which female artist, living or dead, would you invite to a fantasy dinner party and why?
Without a doubt, Louise Bourgeois, one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century (irrespective of gender). Her playful yet formidable spirit would ensure the party was like no other - she was known to sing and dance - and I'd love to get tucked away in a corner listening to her candid anecdotes first hand.
