Sponsored Membership Programme
2025-2027

“AWITA, in many ways, is like a big, beautiful garden. As caretakers of this community of extraordinary women, our role is to nurture it - by enriching the soil, watering wisely, and occasionally doing a little pruning. That’s what AWITA is about - care, support and a group of people to share with and listen to.”

  - Sigrid Kirk, Co-Founder at AWITA

Hauser & Wirth, Rachel Verghis and her gin MarGin, and DRAW Recruitment continue their sponsorship of memberships for women and those who identify as women to encourage the widening participation and diversity of the AWITA community. This year, The Wick, the content platform and hub for the culturally curious founded by entrepreneur Katy Wickremesinghe, will support two memberships for women of Southeast Asian heritage.

AWITA is committed to supporting the talent pipeline through professional development, mentoring, and networking. 15 sponsored memberships are available for individuals who identify with groups underrepresented in the visual arts sector.

Each member will gain access to upskilling, peer mentoring, and networking events, in turn supporting motivation, performance, and job satisfaction. Hardwiring Change for Women in the Arts Workplace, AWITA’s 2025 survey with Artnet, completed by over 2,000 respondents, observed a strong demand for mentorship, with 79 percent of mid-career and senior professionals expressing a desire for expanded mentoring especially in the areas of art and industry knowledge, leadership and management, and individual coaching.

The process will be supported by Cat Manson, who founded Art Market Mentors in 2020 and is an experienced Mentor, Executive Coach and Communication Consultant. She will work with AWITA to match each sponsored member with a mentor and provide guidance on how to optimise the relationship.

Applications open until 27th October 2025.

To apply, please fill in a short form here. Applicants will be advised of the outcome by the middle of November with an announcement of the new cohort at the end of November.
