NXT GEN Members have access to the recording of AWITA’s recent panel discussion that addressed systemic challenges, and explored actionable opportunities to gender equity in the arts. Speakers were cultural leaders working across the UK:
India Phillips, Managing Director of Bonhams, an auction house leading the way in supporting female staff—70% of promotions in 2022 went to women, and the company recently appointed female CEO Chabi Nouri.
Sadie Coles, renowned gallerist who has directed her gallery for 27 years with a gallery culture characterised by valuing staff development, professionalism and innovation.
Clarrie Wallis, Director of the Turner Contemporary a contemporary arts space and catalyst for the regeneration of the town Margate. Clarries previoulsy worked at Tate as the Senior Curator of Contemporary Art.
