Özlem Günyol & Mustafa Kunt: If You Wanna Go Outside, Get Inside

Dirimart is pleased to announce If you wanna go outside, get inside, Özlem Günyol & Mustafa Kunt’s first exhibition at the gallery’s London space.
On 5 March, Dirimart London is turning the private view into a performance, with the exhibition centreing on a performance titled The Opening in Mayfair.
The piece transforms the private view into a live site of surveillance. Drawing on the London Underground announcement “See it. Say it. Sorted.”, an anonymous detective will observe the opening and produce written reports in real time, which will then be installed on the gallery walls throughout the evening.
The work foregrounds the public nature of the gallery space, while interrogating the increasing authoritarian pressures shaping this publicness within the current global political climate.
